Fuel Rail Recall

Druhl, thanks for your reply, but like I said Cadillac said there was no recall in Canada. Where do you live? I was wondering if Bobbinski could comment on this and since he works for GM that maybe he can look into what is going on here. Is there anybody else on this site that has had their car recalled, fixed and is from Canada? Would really like to know why we are being excluded in this recall. Maybe its just my car, that they changed the fuel rails the month that it was built and it doesn't need to be changed but Cadillac said they had never heard of such a thing. Randy.

I just got a recall for the fuel rail today in Southern California. The paper said it would take 50 minutes, but the dealership said it would take all day because the car would need to cool down. (they're just busy cause there's no charge for recalls)

That makes no sense. Granted, the fuel rail has to be depressurized but it is not hard to do it without spilling gas all over the engine unless you are a complete bafoon. I was in and out in an hour after driving :30 min. to get there.
