ROTTIE Posted October 25, 2004 Report Share Posted October 25, 2004 I HAVE 1998 STS AND THE SERVICE SUSPENSION SYSTEM COMES ACROOS ALL THE TIME WHEN I PURCHASED THE DAMPER ARMS TO THE REAR WERE OFF AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WERE DISCONNECTED BUT IT RODE FINE I BROUGHT IT IN TO MY SHOP AND RECONNECTED THE ARMS NOW IT IS RIDING LOW AND BOTTOMING OUT I WAS WONDERING WHAT I CAN DO TO CHECK FOR CODES I JUST SOLD A 1992 STS WITH THE SAME LIGHT ON BUT NO DRIVABILITY PROBLEM SO I LET IT GO BUT THIS IS NOT RIDING RIGHT I WAS WONDERING WHAT I CAN DO TO GET THE RIDE BACK I DID NOT MARK WHERE THE ARMS WERE BEFORE I REINSTALLED THEM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bigfoo Posted October 25, 2004 Report Share Posted October 25, 2004 Damper arms? You mean the tie rods? Or the control arms? or what? the 98 is basically the same car as my 99 so i know all about it. If it's riding low in the back then the air shocks might not be working properly. You can check the codes by holding down the buttons to the right of the steering wheel, i believe the on/off button and into up button.
