WarrenJ
Well, it's now past 6pm in Europe and Asia and there are no reports of successful Rapture taking place. If you were looking forward to solutions for over-population, pollution, traffic congestion, shorter lines at Disneyland and such, you'll have to wait for the next zealot or con artist to come along. And don't let that Mayan calendar thing get you down. The explanation is real simple and should keep you calm through 2011. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

JimD
Stay focused on November 6, 2012. Rapture will commence when the current occupant of the White House is evicted after one term. Yeah. Four years of making Jimmy Carter look good. . . Sheesh! Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. JimD
Yeah. Four years of making Jimmy Carter look good. . . Sheesh!Regards, Warren My two daughters do not have an adult memory of the Carter years and the inflation and interest rates plus the disasterous give-away foreign policy. Oh, and the solution to the "oil crisis" (which was really a distribution problem) was to wear a sweater. When the economy started to crater in 2009, I had the occasion to comment over a meal that "this administration is making Jimmy Carter look like a genius". The next two hours were spent delivering a history lesson with a few backups from a son-in-law. My girls are not political creatures and the son-in-law leans to the right of me. It was an enjoyable evening; one of many. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !

Oh, and the solution to the "oil crisis" (which was really a distribution problem) was to wear a sweater. Carter, instrumental in its founding, left us the legacy of the Islamic (Revolutionary) Republic of Iran; 30+ years of agita for the western world and misery, torture, and death for so many in the Mideast. What the current administration is doing (and not doing) in that powder keg arena will likely have far, far worse consequences. And soon.
