Bruce Nunnally
OnStar is offering OnStar equipped vehicles that don't currently have service 6 months of Free Onstar, and entry into a contest to win a new GM Vehicle. Finally did this over the weekend. All you need to do is press the blue onstar button in your Cadillac. The operator comes on after a recording, and you tell them you would like 6 months of free onstar and to be entered into the contest. They did ask if I wanted to buy phone minutes, which I did not. They also asked if I wanted to put a credit card on file in case I wanted to extend my service after 6 months, which I did not. It took 5-6 min after they were all set for the system to say "done" or similar, but fairly painless. Contest ends 5/31 so you'll want to try this before then. Bruce Nunnally
If you have an onstar blue button, no harm in pushing it and seeing what happens? Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
KHE
I don't think the analog onstar equipment even functions anymore. I thought the cutoff year was 2002 or 2003? Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
CoupeDTS
my wifes Rainier has onstar but we unplugged the computer because when we bought the truck we noticed every 30 seconds a voice would say "on star ready" or something like that I dont remember. Online forums said it was a computer problem and a new computer is $200 or $300 So we just unplugged it. We just got a card in the mail last week from GM that said they noticed our onstar is not hooked up. Well, big brother doesnt like it when you disconnect your onstar apparently lol. I might have to just plug it in and sign up then unplug it again. * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
