I haven't gotten my recall notice yet so I called the dealer today. They said I had to have the recall notice or an authorization from Cadillac. I asked if they had a number. I was given 1-800-458-8006. I called and she confirmed my VIN was part of the recall, then got my local dealer on the line and I have an appointment for tomorrow morning. BTW, Cadillac said I did not need the recall notice to have it done. Go figure <_>

i called cadillac and my car is also being recalled for fuel rail replacement. it is true that you dont need the recall letter but u do need to call cadillac so they can open a ticket for the dealer to do the work

Johnny, I had not recieved my recall so I called the dealer to see if I could just bring it in. They said no I had to have the recall notice. I called Cadillac at 1-800-458-8006 and was told my cars was included and that I did not need the recall notice. When I told her that the dealer would not do it without the notice or authorization from Cadillac, she called the dealer, authorized it and then brought the dealer on the line to set up an appointment for me. It was done the next morning (yesterday).
