Scotty
The ceramic-formulation brake pads offer benefits that include low noise, less dust and better braking performance See what Tire Rack has to say: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/tech/why_ce...brake_pads.html
Psycho
Hi i can't say anything about ceramic, but a few weeks ago, i installed raybestos Brutesop. Excellent pads, more brake force, temperature problem is gone and there is less brake dust. Brake force during rain periods is real better, too. Regards Eckhard (1995 STS) p.s. Braking form aprox. 150mp/h to 40mp/h is great fun (nos Speed limit on german Highways) Raybestos Brutestop LPG

Bob D
Ceramic pads=quiet (no squeaks and squeals) and NO dust. Once you've tried them, you'll never go back... PS, great stopping power too, along with wear life. '93 STS.. opened, dropped, wide...fast.

I'll have to go pull some reciepts from my files to give you an accurate answer on the latter. '93 STS.. opened, dropped, wide...fast.

Bill K
I changed to Performance Friction Ceramic pads. They cost more but I would like to think I have more than saved the difference in not needing to buy wheel cleaner.

an01sts
I cannot offer an opinion on which one is the better choice, but Raybestos makes the best brake parts.
