adallak
I had to apply the parking brake this morning. When I put the gear in D I noticed the "BRAKE" light did not disappear despite the pedal was released. I repeated the procedure several times = noluck. Where is the switch I perhaps need to look at? Thanks in advance. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
Ranger
The switch is at the top of the brake pedal arm or lever.

adallak
Once again applied the brake really hardand put it in Drive - the light is gone finally. I think applying the brake really hard (harder than usually) made the change. Thanks for all suggestions anyway. Ranger
Adallac, I guess I didn't read your post close enough. I thought you were talking about the brake pedal not the parking brake. In any case, I think the switch is still up there and should be visible with some contortions. Sounds as though it was just not snapping up hard enough which may indicate a little lube is needed or a rusty cable unless you were applying it very lightly, in which case it won't return very hard.
