Oxygen sensor

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved.

Sorry I wrote in Swedish in my post about oxygen sensor. I thought it was Swedish Cadillac forum I signed. Some managed to translate my Swedish and I got several responses. I thank you for this.

I responded that my engine light is on. I went to a mechanic and they switch off the the light . They asked me to come back if it was lit again. It did but it took the whole 1600 miles. What does it mean. If something is wrong shouldn´t the lamp be lit directly . The previous owner replaced an oxygen sensor for only 3000 miles ago. But now I understand there are three sensors. Two sensors on a total of 80000 miles. Is not it a bit strange? Could it be that the reason the lamp is on has to do with the broken sensor that was replaced earlier. I therefore wish to avoid a mechanic routinely replace a sensor that could be ok.

Sorry about my english but I hope you will understand me.

Sometimes it takes a week or two for a bad oxygen sensor to set a code. Yes, either the oxygen sensor, or the fuse or wiring, has a problem.

You can tell which sensor set the code, and why, by reading out the OBD codes. See the link in my signature block for instructions. Write the codes down and post them here.

Thanks, I will try to follow your instructions. Can I turn the light off. Or it goes out only when you changed the sensor.

The light will keep on coming on until you fix the sensor problem.
