collazmi
Recently discovered water/puddle in my 97 STS. I used a towel to soak it up but it returned after a recent rain. (On floor behind drivers seat) Are there drains that could be clogged or could it be rear door weather stripping? Any suggestion would be appreciated. adallak
Welcome to the forum! Looks like you have got a sunroof and its drain tubes got clogged. Someone will chime in with instructions. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
collazmi
Thanks. I didn't consider the sun roof.
adallak
Thanks. I didn't consider the sun roof. Here is what I have found in an earlier post:"..there is a drain in each of the 4 corners of the sunroof that runs down the respective pillar. One is likely plugged. Use a length of .080 dia. weed wacker cord to rod it out." The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
collazmi
Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try and wait for the next rain.
KHE
Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try and wait for the next rain. Why not spray the sunroof with water from a garden hose to test the drains. You should see four puddles under the car near the tires when the sunroof drains are working properly. collazmi
I looked for the drains at the sunroof but only could see screws all around. Any ideas?
MAC
Is the water just on the floor or is it also on the side by the door? If the door seal is bad it's also possible for water to bypass the seal and soak the carpet. At least this is my experience with the right front door of a '94 Eldorado. Open the sunroof - there should be a drain in each corner of the gutter.
