bananaboy069
I am currently getting 11.4 mpg after changing bosch platinum plugs, k&n air filter new fuel , air filters o2 sensors and i discovered my egr valve stays open at 19%(degrees) and i could possibly be losing efficiency because of a small exhust leak . does anyone know how to get rid of the sulphur burning smell that comes after hard acceleration even though i just installed new catalytic convertor 6 months ago? 67coupedeville
From what I have read on the board and from others posting the same question, most people stay with AC Delco. I recently bought a 95 Eldorado and it has some sort of aftermarket no namers on it, I have so far put 0 miles on the car but in most places they are frayed and are in need of replacing. I'm going to stick with Delco wires and plugs to boot (no PUN intended ). Spence
JBuckley
I use AC Delco double platium plugs for my NS. I would stay with that, I have seen posts where they have tried other brands and had problems, but to be fair I have seen other post where the non OEM plugs were doing fine. Just my 2 cents worth, but I would use the OEM AC Delco's. John John
Ranger
Sulfur smell means you are running rich. Check for a leaky FPR or injector. Also maybe the sticking EGR may have something to do with it.
pulque
I bought a set of aftermarket wires that were supposed to increase peformance, but they increased performance in electrical noise instead. The jacket leaked high currents and even caused RFI in my speakers, although they would have had definitely improved performance in a Distributor Era V8. I purchased the original Cadillac/GM wires to correct the situation in my 4.6L.
Ben
AC plugs for me. I opted for the Magnecor wires, better shielding and larger diameter than stock. Only non OEM wires I found to be as good or better than the delcos.
