coolnesss
My 98 ETC needs a water pump I fear - how tough and how long a job is it? Is the tool mandatory?
Ben
You must have tool. Part is cheap and job is easy. Do you need instructions for the job?
JBuckley
Yes you have to have the tool to unclock the waterpump assembly, see this post http://caddysearch.netgetgoing.com/mbarchi...d=caddymb-13116 Bruce has the tool for rent here at caddyinfo see under the for sale section. growe3
I have replaced one on each of my 93' STS's. They were hard to rotate to get off. This seems like it is more common with the earlier cars that use the green coolant. As the post below notes, it is important to get a good solid grip before trying to loosen the pump. The pump will rotate CLOCKWISE to loosen. See link below for a little more info.
