Dr.Fiero
Not sure if this was a 'just me' fluke thing, but.... On my '98 STS, I had a tail light out (no big deal) in one of the trunk mounted lights. Seems that some water had been getting in there for a while I guess (only had the car about 2 months). Went to take the bulb(s) out, and they were solid rusted in place! Seems that nobody at the factory put "Grote" grease in there to seal it up! You know, that thick slimy goo? After a whack of work, I managed to eventually get the 3 stuck ones out (ONE popped right out!), cleaned up the contacts, and all was good. Anyhow - if you live in a wet area - you might want to do a preemptive strike and pull your bulbs out. Get some sealant, and goop them up. http://grote.com/cgi-bin/goc/goc.cgi?product_number=99170
