Service Engine Soon

"Service Engine Soon" on dash display. DTC reads only U1000 and B0429.

U1000 = network error. Means what? Need a repair?

B0429 = A/C rear seat temperature door. Need to repair?

How to delete "Service Engine Soon" display? Clear/Erase "All Clear Codes"? Or a selective item delete, eg. IPC and/or IPM?

U1000 indicates an "unknown" module on the class 2 data line failed to respond. B0429 suggests it is the HVAC module that is the culprit.

I don't believe this would set the SES light ON. Sorry I can't be more help.

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

To remove the "Service Engine Soon" display, do I clesr just the error codes? Or, do I have to clear all codes?

You want to display and clear all the codes following the instructions on this page;

Be sure to make a note of any "P" codes.

No "P" Codes. Only U1000 and B0429.

Your car is haunted! The SERVICE ENGGINE SOON message is caused or triggered only by "P" codes.

I neglected to note that the codes are as follows:

IPC - U1000

IPM - B0429

Also, these Codes are noted as "Current". Everything else is "History" or "No ___ Codes".

Give any P code even if it is history, they stay and keep the light on, for a specified number of cycles.
