I was looking at a product called SEAFOAM as an engine additive or a transmission conditioner................has anyone out there tried this product and if so what were your experiences. Is this a thumbs up or down product for use in a cadillac.

How about a double thumbs down on ANY aftermarket fluid additive to ANY part of your Cadillac. Or any other vehicle.

The recommended fluids for the vehicle are listed in the owner's manual; anything not listed is not recommended. Testing new fluids in a controlled environment in a lab where you had access to dozens of engines or transmissions would be interesting. Testing new stuff in your daily driver seems unwise.

honestly dont do it. I have run seafoam with wonderful results on many vehicles.

But have never heard good with seafoam and cadillac northstar. Issues may not be immediate but appear soon after, I run premium, clean the TB once a year, and drive it hard. No problems here.
