2000 Seville threw up trouble code 300 (engine misfire) and check engine light flshing as it was being driven. As of this morning now will not start with temps at 9 degrees. Is replacing the plugs a good starting point? Perhaps a bad coil pack or ignition module? Could use some advise. Thanks

As you know, P0300 is a random misfiring cylinder. Is P0300 the only code? Look for a P030x where x is the specific cylinder misfiring

You have COP ignition. From Logan's experience, those coil packs can malfunction, so much so, that he carries a spare in his trunk, like I carried points and condensers in the old days.

I would try to determine which bank is misfiring. You may be able to carefully listen with a scope and hear there is a problem or you can find a code reader that will track misfires like my Autotap does. Misfires would be out of the park on specific cylinders and possibly one entire bank.

My guess is that its a coil pack, determine which one and plug up a "known good" pack to diagnose it and see if that solves it
