chrisman183
Under the hood, line comes up along the middle against the firewall right by the cruise control box... it was just draped over some stuff in the back not connected to anything. any clues?? Ranger
Looks like it MIGHT be the EVAP purge solenoid connector on the side of the TB. Disclaimer: I am looking at an '03 for comparison, so it's possible that yours may be different.

heitzman
Have you checked the computer for trouble codes? Could it be a sensor disconnected from the high or low pressure AC line?
chrisman183
Have you checked the computer for trouble codes? Could it be a sensor disconnected from the high or low pressure AC line? yes i have checked. the only codes i have are 2 for the "mixer door", they are B1341 and B1343. they are for the passenger climate controls i believe... this could be the reason? i just don't see any places to plug it in, i've looked pretty well without removing anything yet. heitzman
Is the wires yellow and green? If they are, I have a connection like what you are showing on my deville and it is on the passenger side over by the AC lines that go in the firewall. One side comes out of a harness and the other side is long and goes between the engine and firewall.

heitzman
Check along the back side of the engine, it could be hanging down there somewhere.
