Are the intake gaskets reusable?? I know this question has been part of many posts over the years, but I do not remember the stated experience of folks who have been there - done that.

I will be installing a new starter as soon as I can arrange for a parts chaser rental car!!

I recall the guru saying they could be reused as long as they were not damaged, if they were damaged only slightly, a dap of O2 safe gasket gunk compatible with the seals can be applied. That is my recollection, Jim

if the silicone rib is crushed flat, than i would change them. they might have trouble resealing once you break them loose from the bottom of the intake/head surface. same for valve cover gaskets. if they appear flat/crushed than replace them.
