Hi guys,

I have a 2005 CTS with 72,000 miles approx. Never had a problem out of this car until this week when I looked and saw the light for the traction control come on. It stayed on for 2 days and then it went off. Took wife to airport and when exited the expressway I could feel each gear as the car downshifted before coming to a stop. the upshift seems to be somewhat rough as well.

Please give me your comments

I am not sure how it is done on a CTS but you need to see if any trouble codes have been set. You may need a code reader capable of CAN.

I think it's Autozone that reads your trouble codes for free. Aamco does too, but you're already in their shop, & I'm sure there's alot of pressure on you for them to bring it into their bay for $$. Without codes, it's just a guess.
