Those seals look pretty bad, that appears to be where you were leaking pressure and coolant from.

This is a good job, for rejuvenating your cooling system, I think you will be happy with your temps after you finish this job.

How were you trying to get the water pump out, was the crossover bolted in? or loose? What did you do, give the crossover with the old pump still in it to your friend?

Be careful with the new seals not to damage them if you are jockeying around a lot..

Good find, we had a member Ken I think who had a leak at the heat tube and it was creating a 'fish bite', it can create a lean code if its bad enough

If it looks good you can re-use it, there is a specific torque in inch/pounds, I dont have my manual handy right now, maybe someone knows, but snug them up in any case

post-13898-128769086471_thumb.jpgwhen i was taking out the wiring,,i pulled 4 wires out of 2 clips that go under the exhaust at the front of the car,,so im fixing them now,,not good!

Not good is right., you need to put those wires back EXACTLY as needed, those wires are probably for the crank sensors, or O2 sensor, do you know where they go?

If a crank sensor comes loose your engine will die on the spot, you need to purchase new connectors and wire them correctly, if you need the color scheme, let me know Ill pull the 94 manual.

I would call the dealer and see if you can get new ones with pigtails, then twist and solder them and use heat shrink wrap and tape it good, or you can go to a junk yard and cut the connectors off a junked car

post-13898-128770742081_thumb.jpg this is it,,,its saying its a speed sensor pigtail

If this is from the FRONT of the engine, behind the exhaust manifold, it is the CRANK sensor, there are two of them one over the other. YOU MUST make sure that the two wires are correct in the two plugs AND make sure that the TOP connector and BOTTOM connectors go to the correct crank sensor. The crank sensor wiring is part of the wiring conduit that you would remove to do the crossover as I did

The speed sensor is NO WHERE in the area, its on top of the right output shaft housing.

Get the plugs I will get the crank sensor wiring colors and location for you from the FSM

There is no need to replace the gasket if it isn't damaged. Proper torque for those bolts is 8-11Nm or about 80 inch pounds. I have had that cover off mine more times than I would care to! happy.gif

Try to look on the bright side. The more parts you replace on it now, the less you have to worry about in the future.
