Two years ago, one of the power windows slipped down and wouldn't come back up. Huston called Academy Auto Glass. The owner, Orestes Garcia, told her this was a problem with the regulator. He could do the repair for about $300 with a reconditioned regulator, he said, but if she wanted a new regulator, available only from a Cadillac dealer, it would cost her more than $500. Huston took the reconditioned deal. Garcia fixed the window, giving Huston a guarantee on the job.
