scott y
About amonth or so ago, somebody here indicated how to check your map sensor using the DIC and provided the correct kPa being +/- 10? Does this sound about right? I checked mine then and it was fine but For some reason I've forgotten the procedure, and just want to check again...hopefully this is making sense. Thanks in advance,1994 STS
paulbaumgartner
Hi Scott, I had a 94 sts...miss that car... to access all the diag data, i believe you hold down the "econ" and "fan blower down" at the same time, holding them both down for about 3-5 seconds, and that accesses the diags. Pretty sure it is a combination of two keys on that side of your inst cluster. Once in the diags, you cycle up and down through various menus using the "blower up/down" and "econ" as the "enter" function. I am going from memory here, i gave that car to my daughter about 6 years ago, so forgive me if I'm mistaken. But I know it is possible to read that sensor. I bought a shop manual off ebay (about 10 bucks) and it had full discription of DIC functionality. good luck Paul
