went to dealer for oil change and tire rotation yesterday. It is a 1SB, the warranties are emission 80010 mi end date 08-19-2013 and bumper to bumper 50010 end date 08-09-2009 plus corrosion 08-09-2011 unlimited miles. Warranty work done (cat. converter replaced at 65102mi), (high mount stop lamp replaced at 48680mi) and (tire pressure sensor indicator replaced at 39846mi.) She did not say if the new high mount stop light was still on warranty and i did not ask. I should have had the tires balanced for on the way home the car had a vibration. It seemed that the dealer was not very busy I did not see any new cadillacs on the lot just 3 used cts and a used deville pre 06. Logans shop does not seem to be far from me Im thinking I should drive to his shop to replace the high mount stop light. Oh! they did a 27 point inspection on the car and recommended a trans oil change every thing else was ok. The car has 84000 mi. Mike

Mike,

If I am not mistaken...all work done at a Cadillac dealer is under warranty for a fairly long time.

It may be well worth a phone call to see if the light is still under warranty.

They are pretty expensive lights to replace.

I have had to have the trunk mounted light replaced on both on both if my 2006 DTS's for little tiny cracks in the lens.

Luckily, they were still under the FACTORY warranty when I had it done.
