psc Posted September 12, 2010 Report Share Posted September 12, 2010 Help, Need some assistance, this is a unique one and I have searched the forum without luck. VEHICLE: Recently purchased 2000 Deville DTS, 117 miles, engine was replaced under warranty at 87,000 in 2008. SCENARIO: When headlights are on (Nighttime) the traction control light will appear after applying the brake pedal and pulling forward. Brake switch code appears after running the codes. Traction control button will not work afterwards. FACTS: Does not occur when lights are off and driving in the daytime. Brake fluid is full. Parking brake is not engaged and functioning fine. No other codes being thrown. Car is running absolutely fine otherwise. Considering replacing the brake switch unless there is someone out there who can advise otherwise... Thanks in advance.
