Ok I dont mean to get on anyone’s nerves but I am really trying hard to fix my solenoid problem, and nothing seems to work ( have checked the check balls, and fuses).....http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...=15entry19855. Today I dropped the pan for the 3rd time....I checked the resistance of the wiring from the male connectors to the area right before it goes up inside the transmission. The wiring (for that 15inch strech) was fine. Then I just decided to read the manual...I spent about an hour flip-flopping through it...found out what wiring to use...even though I dont think I need to re-wire..at this point. I also came to the section about PCM OUTPUTS. Anyway I started to read through the section and realized that I could possibly check the condition of the solenoids by selecting a P010/P011....I proceeded to do so and heard something going on under the hood....I then thought that it "might" be a good idea to stop and make a post, as I dont have any fluid in the tranny, and I could be damaging it. Furthermore I dont exactly know what manually selecting these outputs will tell me. If I can hear the solenoids fire does that mean the wiring is ok? also I remember reading somewhere about resetting the transaxle shift adapts after completing the solenoid job. I did not reset them b/c I was unable to find any info on here about doing so. Also when I access the pcm, the transaxle shift adapt status light is on...meaning that it is disabled....should it be enabled....can someone email "the great" Guru? haven’t seen him around that much latley.lol

After stareing at the bottom of the tranny for a good 10 minutes I may have found a clue. I noticed that the round filter located inbetween the solenoids had popped out, and was very loose. I pushed it back in but Im wondering if its not supposed to lock in there somehow. I can see how if you turn the filter the square end of it could lock behind the solenoids, that of course would involve removing the solenoids...which would be the 3rd time...but hey if I can get it to work im happy!

So I installed the bracket...put everything back togeather...got her out on the road and she purred...tranny appeard to be fine..Went and got the car washed and on the way home she began to studder "grind" and burn fluid. I pulled over and the fluid was obviously burnt...(was smoking from under the hood)...and appeard to be very low ( It had 7 quarts) I got P086, I waited for a minute and then started back up....she ran and shifted fine for the mile or so back to the house...Right before I pulled in I got the p086/check engine light agian...but was able to drive. The first time it happend I was basically stuck...no limp home in second...it barely would move an inch. Im going to try and diagnose it myself.....any thoughts would help!

I hope it is that easy....I just started it up and Im getting P086 (undefined gear ratio) and P076 (Trans. pressure control solenoid circuit). Will likely drop the pan tommorow and take a look.
