Dashboard Lighting upgrade(s)

Folks-

I've already upgraded my headlights to 6000K HIDs, and they really make my '95 SLS warrior look newer. Now for the interior... (The angled T-handle shifter had worn, ratty leather, and Pull-a-Part had examples that were worse, so I used a black PUTTER COVER, and VIOLA! Looks Great!!!) The existing dashboard lighting appears yellow and tired. I had plenty of success in the past with a '94 Infiniti Q45 in upgrading the interior with plenty of LEDs, even the clock! Before attempting such an effort, has anyone on this forum either changed the existing lamps, or upgraded to LEDs? I don't want to ruin the DIC, or any other functionality (seems like the whole dash panel is part of a series circuit, and would throw a whole bunch of codes if the circuit is interrupted, even if only momentary.

LED technology has really advanced in recent years, to the point where "hyper-white" is now really white, instead of blue.

So, if anyone's been down this road before, please let me know (and if it's worth the effort).

Thanx in advance!
