2errol
I can't get the trunk to open with the key nor with the latch in the glove department nor with the keyless entry trunk release. It makes a click/thump with the keyless and the glove switch, but with the key there is nothing
adallak
strange...did you try to disconnect the battery (negative of course) and try to open with key? The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
franey
WAS THEIR ANYTHING IN THE TRUNK THAT COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN THE LATCH , LIKE A PIECE OF CLOTHING , JACKET OR ANYTHING WHICH MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN CAUGHT IN THE LATCH. IF SOMETHING , GOT CAUGHT IN THEIR , IT CAN BE A *smurf* TO GET OPEN , BECAUSE THE LOCK MECHANISM IS JAMMED.
ero1220
I had a backpack strap caught in that darn thing in my 93 for two days once... Keep trying with the key, it eventually opened for me.

adallak
looks like the rusted lock is the problem. It rusted steb by steo and the elecric releas should have quit first since it obviously can apply less torque than you with the key. Perhaps you did not open the trunk for a while and the lock was done. try to put as much as possible WD-$) though the key slit, wait for a few minutes and try again. YOu may need to repeat the procedure aseveral times. Hopefully it will work. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
