Chris
I remember a long time ago reading a procedure to disable the auto lock/unlock. Unfortunately, searching the forums come up with nothing. If anyone has the procedure, please post it. Why do I want to do this? I find that any time other people drive my car, they try to open the driver door WHILE putting it into park, which makes the lock bind. The power unlock usually stops working for a couple months thereafter (or until i open the door up and add grease etc). Really annoying! Thanks! -Chris
BodybyFisher
I just scanned the 1993 Owners Manual and don't see anything permitting the auto lock/unlock feature to be disabled, maybe there is some workaround that is not in the manual Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
Chris
I just scanned the 1993 Owners Manual and don't see anything permitting the auto lock/unlock feature to be disabled, maybe there is some workaround that is not in the manual Thanks for taking a look! I believe that its an OBD override (similar to the override that disables traction control for 13 restarts). I wish I'd saved the procedure or override number back when I read about it! -Chris
