mauijim66
ok, i got all 500 nuts and bolts off and out of the plate that the water pump on my 93 deville is mounted on. (dang a couple of them were in TIGHT places!) anyway, i cant get the plate/pump out! theres just not enough clearance between the engine block and the body for the loose pully, plate, and pump to get through. or thats the problem im having anyway... does anyone have any suggestions or know of any tricks? i really dont want to start taking air conditioning refrigerant lines loose. but if i have to... thanks in advance guys! BodybyFisher
Take the 4 nuts off the pulley and take the pulley off. For future reference, take the pulley nuts off first, loosening them while the belt is on Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
