nascaddy Posted March 9, 2010 Report Share Posted March 9, 2010 I have a 2000 STS and the one of the push buttons is broken and the light is stuck on. These are the lights located in the front of the headliner near the rear view mirror. Can anyone tell me how to remove the cover from the headliner without breaking it. There is also a slider switch and a button for remote garage door opener. Does this just pop off somehow. I don't want to tear the headliner or snap off any other buttons. Eric Posted March 9, 2010 Report Share Posted March 9, 2010 FSM says Do not let the overhead console hang from the flat wire harness. 1. Carefully pull down on the overhead console to release the four retainer clips. 2. Disconnect the flat wire electrical connector. 3. Disconnect the cell phone microphone connector (if equipped). 4.
