Hello,

I'm needing some direction on reading the tag in the trunk of my car for two things.. I'm looking for the code for my active radio and the strut code. It has been a few years since I have done this.

The radio has never really had much bass even with the bass turned all the up. It no longer will read cd's or play the ones in the cd changer. I have a noise of sound coming from my right front speaker with the car off and anytime I check, it's there. One day the car acted funny and would only play music from the rear speakers and the center one on the dash. The center speaker never worked before and does'nt now.

Does this model of Deville have some ele issues ?

The struts, I seem to have very weird stearing ! It seems to shifts ? I had an alignment a month ago and this helped greatly. Sometimes, I can tell the sturts are working after, and after I clear out the C1737 - Exhaust Solenoid Valve Short to Battery code in the DIC.There is never a service ride control or anything like that when the car is started.. What does that mean ? Do I just need to get newer struts ? I had a seville and my comp was bad and when the struts were not working I never remember it being like this.

Please help and thanks,

Michael S.

Hey Mike

I hope this helps, here is info on the RPO codes that are in your trunk (spare tire cover or trunk lid, I forget), it will help you determine factory equipment / options
