Otherwise overall positive review. Some other elements are not quite up to the best Euro-standards, not least the six-speed automatic gearbox, which does not change particularly smoothly or quickly. But if the mood takes you, the CTS-V is as quiet a long-distance cruiser as any if you’re light on the throttle. In essence, then, we have – at last – a Cadillac that can look in the eye pretty well any high-performance European model. There may still be areas for further improvement, but they’re getting steadily smaller.
