Recommended Posts

Walmart's clown commercial from Publicis & Hal Riney (posted below), which broke during Sunday's NFL playoffs, is so unlike the retail giant's usual image that it borders on weird self-mockery

I saw this on TV a few days ago and was telling my downstairs neighbor about it. He's afraid of clowns. His response was "at least the clown gets hurt."

I couldn't help but laugh.

I don't see this commercial airing for very long, though I do find it amusing.

My 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter both thought it was funny, but I can see it scaring a lot of kids. I teach my kids to find humor in most things, so they don't have many fears. It's kept me from having to chase away the "boogeyman" for 6 years now.
