Roadtrip Plan

This is our planned drive for Saturday:

Google says 1,167 miles each way. Basically we get on Interstate 20 and stay on it until Columbia SC. Having done it a few times, we find it is just less trouble to drive straight through, only stopping for meals / rest breaks. So, a nice Saturday drive.

Should be a good chance for the CTS to bake out anything in the oil lol.

Hope the roads are clear -- the last stretch across South Carolina after midnight seems problematic.

Ah. We normally go through Sumter / Manning / Andrews from Columbia but Google says we should head down Interstate 26 toward Charleston.

Especially if there is weather that may work a LOT better.

Thanks. Hopefully this year I can actually stop in and visit the Cadillac dealer on highway 17, Coastal Cadillac in Pawley's Island.

26 is a pretty good road.

Darling wife has a Brother that lives in Summerville.

We were there a few months ago.

Just thought of something....

The storm that is here...RIGHT NOW...is going that way.

You may want to consider the Southern route...on I-20.

At least check conditions in Tennessee and Kentucky for ice and snow.

Hmm, I assume you mean interstate 10 instead of 20? If we head south to 10 and stay on it all the way to the coast then go north along the coast it changes the trip time to

Total Travel Estimate: 22 hours 37 minutes / 1386.71 miles
, so we'll have to just monitor and decide tomorrow night.

Never mind me...

I wasn't paying enough attention to the way you were going.

I just glanced at the first map, and was thinking I-30 to Little Rock and then I-40 on east...

Going on I20 was what I was meaning.

I see that you were going on I-20 all the time....I just wasn't "LOOKING" good enough. :D
