^Tom^
Hi all Does it mean you have to replace Dexron III with Dexron VI if the car still under warranty? (In case you have to fill up or just replaced a gasket and have to refill ?) http://www.sandyblogs.com/techlink/2009/05...html#comment-46 So it is also not clear if you can mix the two Dexron even if the transmission filled up with Dexron III at the factory. About Techlink: I prefer the link http://www.sandyblogs.com/techlink more then the https://www.gmtraining.com/tmswebtree/techlink/ link tom
Bruce Nunnally
I suspect you don't HAVE to but the new formulation certainly sounds promising. Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
Cadillac Jim
One of the links has text that definitely says that Dextron VI *must* be used in all transmissions and other equipment that previously used Dextron III, except some transfer cases and such. For anything other than a transmission, check with your owner's manual and/or dealer (have your VIN number ready when you call your dealer). But transmissions are unequivocal: for top-off, refilling, or flushing, Dextron VI must be used, and Dextron III must *not* be used. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
