WarrenJ
I haven't worked since October 3rd. I'm currently in a "walker" after a bad fall two weeks ago. It required I spend a day in the hospital. In the last three weeks I haven't gone anywhere, not once, where anonymous folk have not helped me in some way or other. Frequently they hold a door open for me and advised me "not to hurry." Last night a complete stranger passed by the rear of my car when I popped the trunk lid. She removed my walker, unfolded it and presented it to me. Neat! She was waiting when I left the 7-11 store. She folded my walker and put it in my trunk. We still live in a great country. With great folk. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. ted tcb
Ouch, sorry to hear about the fall. You must've done a fair bit of damage to end up in a walker for so long. It's nice to hear the positive side to bad news .... that people take a moment to help out a stranger. Bruce Nunnally
Sorry to hear about your health, and I hope you feel better soon. I was shocked when I was recently in New York that everyone was nice along the way, as that is not the 'stereotype' we have here in Texas of New Yorkers. Of course, the few New Yorkers I know here on Caddyinfo are all helpful, so I should not have been surprised the rest of the state was that way also. WarrenJ
Warren, I am sorry to hear about your injury, if you need ANYTHING let me know, Mike Thanks Mike, It's nice to know I have neighbors like you to count on. Yesterday I was able to move my toes slightly and my calf throbbed with pain. The physical therapist said that was good; the nerve was healing. I said, "Make it stop!" I'd rather have my car burn to the ground! Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. Mike, Thanks for your offers of assistance. And thanks for getting my blood moving, three times no less. The assistance is not required, but its offer is deeply appreciated. A little over a year ago I was deeply disappointed in the seemingly inevitable election of BHO. I've since become fearful. I've since come to think he doesn't actually want to BE president, but rather simply wants to wear the crown. Think of this: he spent years advocating universal health care. Once he gained the presidency (but not before) he was asked, "what is your plan?" His response essentially was, "I have no plan. Harry and Nancy will write one up. However long it is and however much pork it contains is of no concern to me. I will sign it." If this is what you think of as leadership, and you voted for BHO, you got what you deserved. Unfortunately, I got what YOU deserved also. Regards, Warren P.S. Sorry for going all political. There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion.
