BodybyFisher
Since this is your first post, I want to give you some advice Typing in all CAPS is YELLING, please dont type in caps Describe your car in full, you dont give the YEAR or model Your subject line says, DADDYMACK BURNS, what does that mean? Your subject line should FULLY describe the PROBLEM you are having with as much detail as possible, so others can benefit from it and so that members familiar with your problem can see it and address it What did your search of the archives turn up? This is described in the thread right above yours that states READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=15254 Did you check the bulbs in your license plate light? Is the dash board light dimmer turned down? Cadillac Jim
The main set of fuses, to look at first, are in the Maxifuse Block, which is behond the air cleaner low on the fender well on the driver's side. It has a plastic cover that you can flip up to get at the fuses. There are other fuse blocks but let's see where this goes before we proceed. They are harder to get to and these rarely give trouble. Most of the time when license plate lights don't come on it's the bulbs. Nobody notices these until there aren't any more good ones. When the lights on the little levers/buttons on the steering wheel don't light, often it's the level of dimming of the interior lights. This isn't on the same fuse as any of the interior lights. We'll look at that after you make sure that the license plate lights are OK. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
