replacing heater core

didnt know if anyone had tried putting in a heater core themselves. i have the part, a shop and all my tools, just not sure if its worth me trying to put it in myself or putting up money for someone else to do it. i was told to do it they go in through the dash because the car has a/c, completely removing it to get at the part which could start racking up hours and money for someone else to do it... i can see the heater core when i look in the engine compartment but dam it looks hard to get to. also if anyone has or has had it done if they know about how many hours should be allowed for it...

I believe you just go in through the glove box, a Buddy of mine did his 95 STS in the parking lot, took him about an hour and a half. pretty easy but I think you have to unplug the air bag so unhook the battery just to be safe

See this thread, there is a heater core removal instruction for a 97 STS, I believe it will be similar for your 95. If you are patient, this is not a very difficult job
