Gas Perspective

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ....... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ...........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ........... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ........... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ..... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ........ . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ......$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER -

and the buyers don't even know the source.

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on

water, Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil.

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the

pump...

This is all very cool however, as it's been mentioned before on this forum, while my car may consume 2~3 gallons of fuel on the way to work, I don't think I could consume the same quality of say, water, in the 45 minute time span that it takes me to get to work.

On the note of water, I agree, most bottled water is a rip off. The United States Pharmacopia and the Food and Drug Administration have strict standards for only ONE type of drinking water; DISTILLED. It's the only water that must meet standards for purity and manufacturing. All other types of water could be getting pumped from a local bathtub tap for all we know. Ironically, distilled water is also the least expensive, averaging about 89 cents a gallon. Drink up!! :D

Evian, spelled backwards is Naive. Think about that.....

And....I wish my car did run on water. At 89 cents a gallon, it would be a bargain that could never be beat.

If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.

They say that Evian water grows in the Alps and is bottled in France. Now, how does it cross the Atlantic, are humans so silly as to pack huge freight ships full with water bottles and drive (or whatever ships do) them across the Atlantic? If so what do the crew drink during the journey?

Sorry for being off topic..

LOL, that thing about the water spelled backwards reminds me of a episode of cops i saw.. called this guy and said you just won a new 27" dewercs tv.. they walk up to the felons door with an empty box and make an arrest, later the cops tell him that dewercs backwards is screwed.. i crap myself with laughter, then the cop carring the box says "aye man, how about giving me a hand, this 27 incher is heavy.. gots the remote and all" -- funny, but yeah.. back to the topic

Ken, ya really did a flip mode on me.. thanks, i needed it

few months ago i stoped buying 20oz mt dews, get a 2 litter with a cup of ice instead

later

edit: somebody must have got the memo - he he

Let's see. The water is bottled HERE in the USA. The source is somewhere in France near all the old outhouses and the french sailing crew drinks french wine during their journey from France to America. What else would they drink? I also had no idea that water "grew". This is a new one to me.
