Dear Bruce,

It was only last May that the 2009 CTS-V had an intense record-breaking sub-eight minute lap on the Nürburgring – an unprecedented achievement, even for the fastest V8 production sedan in the world. And now, after one year of keeping this 556-horsepower piece of American automotive history all to ourselves, we've decided to share the unique opportunity of owning it with enthusiasts like you.

Starting April 9 through 11, one of the world's greatest automobile auction houses, Barrett-Jackson, will be auctioning off the very same CTS-V that solidified Cadillac's entry into the elite category of automotive engineering excellence. With a 6.2 liter supercharged V8, 6-speed Hydra-Matic electronically-controlled automatic transmission and high performance Brembo brakes, this model comes with every performance feature you'd expect from other post-production V's. Bids can be submitted in person at the event or online. Visit the Barrett-Jackson website for more details.

Should you pass on placing the winning bid, you're always welcome to contact your local participating Cadillac dealer by calling 1-866-333-4CAD and test drive the CTS-V on your own.

Thank you,

Steven T. Shannon - Executive Director
