jcheadlee Posted June 8, 2004 Report Share Posted June 8, 2004 I am on my second sts, 1st a 96, 2nd a 98, both of them did this, when the air conditioner "Kicks On" there is a noticable squeek and a you can feel the engine somewhat jerk (very minor) for just a second. Logan Posted June 8, 2004 Report Share Posted June 8, 2004 Sometimes....the face of the AC clutch will get goofy and cause a squek during engagement. This can be fixed be rapidly cycling the clutch 20-30 times. Kind of hard to do on the Cadillacs. Being you feel a jerk....sounds as if the system maybe overcharged with freon.
