usmcfred
I have a very slow coolant leak on my 2005 SRX with the Northstar V8. I need to add about 8 ozs. every week to 10 days to the full line of the reservoir, however there is no evidence of coolant on the garage floor or on the engine itself. Is there a "LIKELY" cause and how difficult and expensive is it to repair? Thanks for any input. usmcfred
MAC
I would get underneath and look at both radiator hoses, particularly the lower hose at the connection point, and look at the bottom of the water pump gasket. There should not be any signs of wetness.
Ranger
Plastic radiator side tanks can crack and the seepage will evaporate before it drips. Surge tanks have also been know to crack. Dried Dex leaves a chalky telltale residue.
