Replacing Radiator (1998 deville)

The GM price often pays for a lifetime guarantee that you don't get if you put it in yourself. The Rock Auto part may be identical to the OEM or it may not, but I've never heard of a complaint about quality of the parts they sell.

I have used two aftermarket radiators (91 Seville and 96 Deville) and they were identical and the quality was good.

what else should I check for to replace once I have everythin off? car has 120k

Take a look at the upper and lower hoses. Don't forget to use the cooling supplement. Consider replacing the 3/8 formed hoses on the purge line if you have them, mine leaked and I have 121K...

Grab your cooling fans and feel if the shaft has play in it, rotate them and see if they feel rough.

Change your stat and stat seal while you have the coolant out

Have fun
