carter028 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Share Posted September 16, 2008 Hey Everyone, Just wanted to see if anyone has had a problem like this in the past and could tell me what the problem was (since the dealership doesn't know). A few days ago my engine coolant like came on then off and then came back on again (this occured over 2 days). My engine also felt like it was occasionally losing power. In addition to the RPMs acting different when the car shifts gears. I took it to the dealership to have them check it out and they said when the started the car the light wasn't on so they didn't know what the problem was. The said my coolant was 3/4 full so they topped it off and said hopefully that takes care of it (I wasn't the happiest at that point). The light is currenlty off but when I was driver it home from the dealship the engine was still acting very slow. Thanks for any responses. Bruce Nunnally Posted September 16, 2008 Report Share Posted September 16, 2008 I have had to add a bit of coolant to my CTS; it seems the level check is VERY sensitive. I would say I added less than 1/2 - 1cup to 'top it off' though and that passed the test.
