Antenna search

My antenna was stuck halfway up for quite a while. All you can get for replacement is a generic one.I had been checking the salvage yards for a while and finally one guy said yea I have one. Went and picked it up and proceeded to remove old one. Like a fool, Iwas going by his claim that it was original and out of a 94Eldo. Well it was not the same and now I have a piece of black tape over the antenna hole to keep water out. I,m not going to put the bad one back, the bezel( rubber) is ripped now anyhow. I know they are hard to find , but if there is someone out there that knows where a working factory antenna is for a 94 Eldorado, please Email or message me. I hope it is OK to ask that on this site. I did get my money back for the wrong antenna.

The antenna from any Eldorado from 1992 on should work, because they never changed the body panels.

I have tried to pin this down and from my research, 92-95 antennas were the same but are discontinued, hense once the supply was gone, that is it. Enter the generic model. Even GMPartsDirect lists different antenna #'s for 92-95(generic) and then 96 up.(I don't know if these are still oem or not)

take a look at some higher end buicks and pontiacs in the same years (92/

97) as they use the same antennas. I picked mine out of a buick Park Avenue and it fit perfect.

The local junk yard here has antennas for 35 bucks if you pull it yourself. They don't have any 90's Cadillacs at the moment though.

WARNING: I'm a total car newbie, don't be surprised if I ask a stupid question! Just trying to learn.

Cheers!
