Cupillac
Hey everyone, haven't been on in a long time, just pulled the car out from storage for a couple of months. When I put the car away last November, the battery was toast and I had to boost it. The other day when I got the car out of the garage, I turned the key and there was plenty of juice, battery seemed fine, drove around for a few days. Then earlier tonight I went to start the car and there is no juice in thing at all. Is that strange that it was fine for a few days and then just dead? Texas Jim
Check the cables. Clean them well. Take the positive cable APART and clean in between the two cables.
Cadillac Jim
Batteries, once dead, can't be trusted. Unless you can identify some battery drain, such as a visor light, and you still have trouble after you clean the cables, have it load tested. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. WarrenJ
Batteries, once dead, can't be trusted. Jim raises an important point here. Some batteries are designed to be "deep discharged" and some are not. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
