2003 CTS speedometer cluster removal???

Anyone know how to remove the speedo cluster without using a cutting saw?

1. Remove the I/P cluster trim cover.
   1. Tilt the steering column to the lowest position.
   2. Using a small flat bladed tool, pry up on the I/P cluster trim.
   3. Remove the trim cover from the vehicle.
2. Remove the screws (2) securing the cluster to the I/P.

   

3. Install a small flat bladed tool (1) between the I/P cluster and the I/P.

   

4. Pry up on the I/P in order to release the retainers on the cluster.
5. Pull out on the cluster and disconnect the electrical connectors.

ok....got it removed......does anyone know how the needles come off?

Its my understanding you pull up on them and turn them counterclockwise?

Is this right?

Do you mean the indicator needles on the gauges? I believe that the instrument panel itself is not considered to be serviceable, but should be replaced as a whole.

What has happened to your instrument panel that you need to change the needles?
