I've seen it many times. Back in the 80's I used to make extra cash from purchasing cars that people thought were worthless. The best one was a '63 caddy convertible that the owner said needed a new motor and a whole new braking system. I picked up the car for $500 cash and invested $35 in a carb rebult kit and a used master cylinder and i was on the road. I drove that car for year before I sold it for $5000. I shoulda kept it though. Also, my brother had a '69 Dart and he was certain it had a seized motor. Turned out to be a broken starter pinion. Do what you want... but I'd recommend finding out exactly what's wrong with before I gave it away. It looks like the rest of the car is in pretty good shape.
