looking for a wiring harness from hub to relay

Recommended Posts

I got the TC027 nag for a while and ABS was on. Replaced LF hub but to no avail although it is quieter and I got a great deal on the hub. :)

Anyways, probed the two wire harness that's connected to the hub and there is a break in the wire somewhere as one of the wires is open. I phoned caddy dealership to pick one up but they say that part has been discontinued. WTH??

Does ANYBODY know where i can get this harness from? I don't want to start probing it for hours to find the break in the wire if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance.

Ken, call Scott from Lakewood Auto Salvage at 631-957-3200 and ask him if he has one on his yard, if he does, I will get it and send it to you, Mike

Tell Scott that Cadillac Mike sent you.... that will help

Thanks Mike, I appreciate your kindness. What I think I will do first is try to pull that harness out first and look for any noticeable breaks. If I can't find any, I will give Scott a call. Again, thank you!

1994?

GM has a unwritten policy. They will attempt to have service parts available for 7 years after the end of production. Just a rule of thumb. No Federal law or anything on how long parts must be available.

1995 the cars went to OBDII. So alot of the wiring was changed then.

You should also be aware. ABS wires are twisted due to AC voltage being used by the wheel sensors.

Well, well, well. Looks like my incessant digging paid off. Phoned a small Caddy dealership here and they do have the part bouncing around. GM part #12128938 comes up for a harness. $189.00Cdn smackers. Now why would the largest Caddy dealership that I phoned earlier tell me that they don't make this anymore?? LOL. Oh well, i know it's around at least.

Also, looks like this part is interchangeable with vehicles 1992 -1997. That will help for sure.

went to a wrecker and they had a 92 there that had the same GM part # tagged on the harness. Pulled it off and gave the guy $20 cash. Hope it works.

So, i go back home happier than a pig in you know what and I blow a hose somewhere down the line of my surge tank. So, i had to call a tow truck and bring it to the nearest garage. darn!
