puzzler33556 Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 1991 Eldorado goes into full rich mode, mostly at start up but can also do it at high speeds. Starts dumping a lot of fuel, black exhaust, and speedometer goes to 0. Car lags and can even stall out. If it can recover itself, speedometer registers correct speed. Mechanic scanned for codes and replaced the TPS and the MAP. After that, with no improvement, he replaced the PCM. Still no improvement and no further codes. Got any ideas?
