alex67000
Hello guys, it' s me the Frenchy, i have a new problem with my caddy, the last night i was driving and i put the a/c in hot for remove the condensation on the windshield, then a code appears AO12, then AO47, low refrigerant, a/c compressor off, this morning i disconnect the low side thermister and i reconnect it, the code AO12 is yet history, but the code AO47 is current, what can i do for this code? is it a great damage on my a/c system? thank you for youre help
KHE
A012 is the low side temperature circuit code. Since the code is now history, it is possible the contacts were just dirty. The AO47 is the low refrigerant code. You probably have a leak in the system and it is shut down to protect the compressor. Look the entire system over for oil/grease on the lines, compressor, compressor clutch face, etc. A large amount of oil/grease = a refrigerant leak. You could have a shop use a leak detector to locate/repair the leak. Ranger
When was the last time it was serviced? It is not uncommon to have to add a little refrigerant every 5 years or so.
